ESG extra-clear is a thermally toughened single-pane safety glass based on low-iron white glass; it is a tempered glass that impresses with its particularly clear, color-neutral appearance. In contrast to conventional float glass, which has a slight green tint, the extra-clear base ensures maximum light transmission and true-to-life color reproduction. Thanks to thermal toughening, it offers significantly increased resistance to bending, impact, and temperature; in the event of breakage, it shatters into small, blunt-edged fragments, thus significantly minimizing the risk of injury. Ideal for high-end interior design, shower enclosures, furniture glazing, and architectural applications where optical purity is the priority. Available in thicknesses of 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, and 12 mm with polished edges, made to measure. Manufactured in Germany by Christian Adamer GmbH.

When should I choose extra-clear tempered safety glass (ESG) instead of standard tempered safety glass?
When should I choose extra-clear tempered safety glass (ESG) instead of standard tempered safety glass?
ESG extra-white is the right choice when color neutrality is crucial, e.g., for kitchen backsplashes with light or white colors, display cabinets and exhibition areas, furniture glazing with a white frame, or stacked glass panes where the green tint of standard clear glass is distracting. Where color fidelity and optical purity count, ESG extra-white is the better choice compared to standard ESG.
