Satinized scratch-resistant tempered safety glass (ESG) is a thermally toughened single-pane safety glass based on low-iron float glass with a one-sided etched, satin finish. Through an additional special refinement, the surface gains significantly increased scratch and stain resistance, making it particularly robust and suitable for everyday use.
Under normal use, the matte surface is resistant to typical stresses and is easy to clean. The satin appearance combines high optical clarity with pleasantly diffused light scattering, ensuring a calm, modern look without strong glare.
In the event of breakage, the glass disintegrates into small, blunt-edged fragments, thereby significantly minimizing the risk of injury. Ideally suited for tabletops, kitchen worktops, cutting boards, shower enclosures, glass doors, and exclusive design applications where aesthetics, hygiene, and durability are equally in demand.
