Grey float glass is a high-quality clear glass based on float glass with a uniform, continuous grey tint throughout the glass body. The neutral tint subtly reduces light transmission and heat transfer without significantly impairing transparency, making it ideal for window glazing, door panels, room dividers, tabletops, furniture applications, and architectural design concepts where a calm, contemporary appearance is desired. The uniform grey coloration of the glass body ensures that the color intensity increases with the thickness of the glass. Available with cut edges or polished edges, made to measure.

What is the difference between grey float glass and grey toughened safety glass (ESG) at Adamer?
Both have the same grey tint; the difference lies in the processing. Grey float glass is not toughened and breaks into sharp shards. Grey toughened safety glass (ESG) is thermally toughened, significantly stronger, and breaks into blunt granules in accordance with DIN EN 12150. For glass doors, shower screens, or partition walls, grey toughened safety glass is recommended.
